Key Stage 2 Results

Key Stage 2 National Comparative Report 2018/2019

The table below shows the key stage 2 SATs results for Sharps Copse Primary School for 2018/2019; these were the outcomes of the tests and tasks undertaken by the year 6 pupils in May 2018/2019.  This is the most recent national data that is available because of the changes to assessment during the coronavirus pandemic. The national data for this year is also alongside our school figures. so that you can compare them.

We are pleased with the attainment of this year-group and in particular the progress in reading, writing and mathematics which is consistently above the national figure, as is usual for our school. Our writing outcomes were moderated by Hampshire Local Authority the previous year and so supporting a robust and accurate judgement.  The children’s attitude to learning is good and they had worked hard over a sustained period to achieve these results; they are to be commended for their efforts.   The table summarises the percentage of children who achieved the expected standard and some who may have achieved greater depth.  There is also an average scaled score for reading and mathematics, which again can be compared to the national average.

Nationally, children took tests in reading; spelling, punctuation and grammar; and mathematics with a teacher assessment provided for writing.   If you have any questions regarding this data, please do not hesitate to contact the school.
